Join us for an inspiring elemental-based journey into our inner universe. Through knowledge of the elements, Jayden will guide you inward to deepen your connection to self and nature, teaching you to draw parallels to how the natural world outside of us can offer insight and inspiration as we develop our inner worlds of body, soul and mind.

 

This series is designed to create a state of flow and liberate you to move and breathe intuitively for your specific needs and desires. There is much to be learned from the natural world and how our great universe maintains a constant state of balance and bliss. In the course of three weeks, each of us will learn to strengthen our ability to embrace the elements and bliss within our own inner cosmos:

Donation Based Spiritual Study Group:
BUDDHA'S BOOKBAG SANGHA!

Buddha’s Bookbag Sangha (BBS) was founded in October 2009 by Jayna Gieber and Margaret Kirschner as a group for spiritual study of the writing of world peacemaker and Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh, who was nominated by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. for the Nobel Peace Prize.

 

Each year, we select one book written by Thay (Vietnamese for “teacher”, the title that Thich Nhat Hanh used) and then meet monthly to discuss the reading assignment for that month. Although it isn't required, we recommend people read the book assignment ahead of time. Our goal is to learn about the concepts Thay teaches and apply them to our daily lives.

 

This year we are finishing up the book “Understanding Our Mind”, and next year, 2023, the selection is “Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet,” the last original work published by Thay before his death.


Our group meets at Breathe Wellness Company on the second Friday of the month, from 11:30am to 1:00pm. We begin with a 10-minute opening meditation, followed by the Dharma (teaching), and we end with a 10-minute closing meditation. Ultimately, we aspire to touch and nourish peace within ourselves, our families and the world.
