Shelby Johnson, Co-Owner and Operator

Licensed Massage Therapist MA 60626489, Teacher of CE for LMTs and Meditation/Movement

"Hello, friends! I run Breathe alongside my wonderful husband, Zach. Together we strive to do business in fun and unique ways for the increased wellness for our great community. In 2012, I initiated a career in massage therapy, and my work continues to evolve into a mixture of practices. I view massage therapy as an art, which inspires me to be creative in my techniques and adapt to each person based on their specific health goals.

In 2018, I began teaching classes and realized a secondary passion for educating lay people and massage therapists. I enjoy combining elements of several practices such as meditation, philosophy, Pilates and calisthenics, and I strive to be inclusive so that people from all walks of life feel comfortable. Ultimately, I am just a guide. I enjoy sharing knowledge and techniques that have proven effective in my own life, in hopes that they will have a positive and lasting impact on others.

I deeply appreciate your interest in Breathe Wellness Company, and I look forward to working with you!"

I'm currently booked out and not taking new massage clients at this time, but please BOOK A MASSAGE with any of our great team members listed below---they are all highly skilled and caring massage therapists, and collectively available seven days a week!

"I initially felt called to study massage therapy in Kauai, Hawaii, my home for 15 years. During most of my island years I focused on my art and passion for designer jewelry. Upon moving to the mainland, the healing arts made their presence back into my life, and I completed my calling of becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist when I graduated from Everest College in 2016.

I believe in the body’s ability to restore from within and use massage and energy work to aid in revitalizing the whole self. My style combines a mixture of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point therapy, where I work slowly to assess what the body needs to alleviate any tension or pain. I also enjoy incorporating the effectiveness of Thai Scraping (Gua Sha) and Cupping Therapy.

Through compassionate and careful listening, I use the intuitive art of Reiki to move energy and balance the chakras. I address both physical and energetic issues, gently ushering your body towards peace, balance, relaxation and the potential for profound healing."

"I have known for a long time that I wanted a career that can help others. As a young girl, I maintained the aspiration of becoming a massage therapist. Throughout my life, friends and family would frequently ask me to give them massage, so it seemed like a calling. Naturally, as I grew into adulthood, I decided to enroll in massage therapy school. Since graduating in 2008, this path has proven to be the work I sought for as a child, and it's been fun and joyful to evolve and grow in my practice over the years.

I enjoy educating clients that a massage doesn’t necessarily have to be very deep pressure to help heal a sore or injured body. And I truly believe in the power of intuitive touch to assist others in healing not just their physical body but also their mental and emotional space. It's awesome to be able to experience this for myself as a client of the other massage therapists here, while also being able to assist others as a therapist myself.

I’m very happy to be part of such an amazing team here at Breathe Wellness Company, and I look forward to working with you."

"Hello, future clients! My name is Michelle and since graduating from Everest in 2015, I have been fortunate enough to pursue my love of massage therapy. Each person requires unique work in order to help relax their body and mind and lessen overall tension and pain. Because of this, I enjoy using a combination of modalities that include Swedish and deep tissue therapeutic massage, trigger point work, cupping and Gua Sha. I also enjoy working with prenatal mommas and minors.

I feel so lucky in this lifetime to have found a career path that I absolutely love. My passion for massage has been a wonderful addition to my life, and I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your wellness goals.

I have been married for 26 years and have a beautiful daughter who recently blessed me with a granddaughter. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, practicing Reiki, reading, baking, making homemade soaps and essential oils, and exercising.

"I grew up as an athlete, remaining active in gymnastics, basketball and elite cheerleading. It was never my plan to become a massage therapist, but after attending an open house for massage school with my best friend, I was especially drawn to the sports program and knew I had found my career.

Throughout my tenure, I have loved training interns and new hires and realized I also love teaching. Massage therapy is woven into the fabric of my life and the gratitude I have for it is something I want to share with others. I have witnessed in both my personal and professional life the profoundly positive impact that massage brings to one's physical and emotional states. This is what motivates me to share the gift of massage with others.

My husband and our two little girls are my life, I love to crochet and I'm forever a student of massage. I've been practicing since 2009! So excited to be a part of the team here at Breathe, and I can hardly wait to meet you!"

"After ten years as a pharmacy technician, I decided to take a different approach to my career in healthcare. I was aware of the power of massage therapy and felt that it would be a much more fulfilling direction for me. In 2013, I officially stepped onto my new path when I graduated from Everest and became a licensed massage therapist for the state of Oregon.

Since then, my dream has become a reality--giving massage is a true passion! I am humbled to assist others in relieving pain, recovering from injury or surgery and reducing stress. In my work, I especially love giving firm pressure relaxation massages, which is a combination of Swedish and a little deep tissue. I also thoroughly enjoy aromatherapy and TMJ therapy.

When I'm not giving massage, you'll find me on my farm with my husband, tending to our many fruit trees and shrubs, along with our chickens and goats. Having recently moved to Washington State, I'm very excited to have found Breathe. I look forward to meeting you and assisting in your wellness goals!"

"I hold safe and sacred space with lightness and joy so my clients can feel grounded, energetic and strong. With 15+ years of customer service experience, it was after my dad suffered a traumatic brain injury and my own experiences receiving massage to help with migraines that I finally heeded the call to start my journey as an LMT. While in massage school, I worked as a chiropractic assistant honing my skills in therapeutic and injury massage before I was licensed. I graduated from East West College of Healing Arts in 2009, and I immediately jumped into training for Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute.

Over the years, I’ve added energy healing tools to my craft, and I love intuitively following a person’s body for the greatest outcome. I’ve worked with babies, children, pregnant moms, transgender transitions, cancer patients, those in car accidents, athletes, seniors and more - all looking to be more embodied and grounded in their physical wellbeing.

I’ve also had my own journey with 13 years of ballet training, completing 2 marathons, 3 duathlons and the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic, and going through fertility treatments to be pregnant with both of my beautiful boys. My breadth of experience and knowledge helps me to stay compassionate for my clients and hold the space they need during each session.

I’m looking forward to working with those called to see me here at Breathe!"
